Your daughter saw a lip oil on Instagram and asked for one. You opened Google — good, you’re asking the right question. The honest answer is that lip oil can be a lovely, safe first beauty ritual for children, as long as the formula is built for young skin rather than borrowed from an adult product.
What actually matters is the formula
Young lips are thinner and more absorbent than adult lips, so what you put on them matters more, not less. Look for gentle plant oils like castor, sunflower and olive, a naturally inspired tint, and a formula free from parabens, sulphates, drying alcohols and unnecessary artificial fragrances. Minimuse is formulated to this standard and is dermatologist tested and cruelty-free.
Our Lip Desserts are made for girls aged 3 and above. For the youngest (3–8), a little parental supervision at application keeps it fun and mess-free. Because the base is food-grade, incidental licks during normal wear are not a safety concern.
